Sylvester Stallone originally wrote Rocky with a 'harder, darker' script

ROCKY is perhaps one of the best known films of all time. Following the incredible underdog story of the titular Rocky Balboa from nobody, to somebody. Despite the film's jovial and heartfelt nature being a huge part of the franchise's bedrock, the original script for the flick was actually a lot more harder and darker in tone than the film eventually became.
