PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN welcomed an eccentric gang of characters to screen, led by the incredibly memorable pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. Star of the iconic role Johnny Depp has now spoken out on why the producers behind the film were originally "scared to death" of his performance, and even accused him of being drunk.
