Avengers: Wolverine role was turned down by Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen



AVENGERS heroes have been in cinema for more than 20 years with X-Men's Wolverine being one of the earliest arrivals in 2000. The character was played by Hugh Jackman for 15 years but the role was originally offered to the actor behind The Lord of the Rings' Aragorn - until he turned it down.
