Pirates of the Caribbean's production was helped by The Goonies



PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN was majorly influenced by The Goonies decades before it had even begun pre-production. This is all thanks to a set-piece event in the movie that left the cast members "in tears". One actor was so shocked by the movie's size that they had to reshoot the entire sequence.
