JAMES STEWART found himself in an on-set romance with actress Marlene Dietrich during the filming of Destry Rides Again. But even though he was "visibly aroused" by the star during filming, he eventually broke things off. Not before he allegedly betrayed the star, leaving Orson Welles to "force" her to go to a doctor.
